ABOUT

A Lifetime of Experience, a New Way to Serve

As an ordained cantor and graduate of Hebrew Union College, I have served for more than 20 years as a pulpit cantor, accompanying Jewish families in Sarasota through some of the most important moments of their lives. Today, through Harmonizing Life's Milestones, I am pleased to make that experience available privately and independently to individuals and families throughout the larger Jewish community, helping them create ceremonies that honor tradition while reflecting their own lives, values, and hopes.

Understanding What Matters Most

Every important life event brings its own emotions and challenges. The excitement of a wedding can be accompanied by the pressures of planning. Preparing for a B'nai Mitzvah can raise questions about expectations and a child's confidence. And when a loved one dies, families must make meaningful decisions during an extraordinarily difficult time. I understand these challenges because I have accompanied families through them for more than two decades.

Making the Experience Easier and More Meaningful

I believe that preparing for a ceremony should be a source of reassurance rather than additional stress. My approach begins with listening: learning about you, understanding what matters most, and helping you make thoughtful decisions without feeling overwhelmed. Together, we can create an experience that respects Jewish tradition while making room for the personalities, relationships, and circumstances that make your family unique.

Experience That Makes a Difference

Over the years, I have learned that no two families—and no two ceremonies—are alike. Whether helping a couple find the words that express their commitment, guiding a grieving family in celebrating a loved one's life, or preparing a child for B'nai Mitzvah, I draw upon years of pastoral experience, teaching, and personal attention. As an educator, I take particular pride in helping children with learning differences discover their abilities, build confidence, and experience the joy of their own accomplishments. My responsibility is not simply to conduct a ceremony, but to help make the entire experience meaningful

The Person Behind the Cantor

While my professional life has been devoted to Jewish worship, education, and life-cycle ceremonies, I have always believed that warmth, humor, compassion, and genuine human connection are just as important as knowledge and training. As a classically trained tenor and composer, music has also been a lifelong passion and, when appropriate, offers another way to bring beauty and personal meaning to a special occasion. Above all, I value the relationships that develop when people invite me to share these important moments.

Let's Create Something Meaningful Together

Every life has its milestones—moments of joy, moments of reflection, and moments when we gather to honor the people and traditions that give our lives meaning. Whatever the occasion, you deserve to feel confident, supported, and understood. You don't need to have all the answers before we meet. We can begin with a conversation about what you envision and explore how to create a ceremony that will become a meaningful and lasting memory.
